Boys Varsity ... leaders just past the one mile mark (which was reached in 4:57) ... in running order, Andrew McCann (FM, 9th, 16:20.4), Tommy Gruenewald (FM, 2nd, 15:33.7), Owen Kimple (FM, 5th, 16:04.2), Ben White (Liverpool, 1st, 15:32.7), John Heron (FM, 4th, 16:03.8), Jake McAndrew (Oswego, 6th, 16:06.9), Colin Heenan (Liverpool, 3rd, 15:50.7), Luke Fitzgibbons, FM, 10th, 16:22.5) and Tim Hartnett (Westhill, 7th, 16:07.8)

 

Boys Varsity ... coming up the finishing stretch ... Tommy Gruenewald (FM) holds a diminishing 5-meter lead on Ben White (Liverpool) Boys Varsity ... approaching the finish-line ... Ben White (Liverpool, 15:32.7) takes the lead ... both White and Gruenewald (15:33.7) broke Lopez Lomong's course record (15:34.7)

 

Boys Varsity ... 3rd-place was Colin Heenan (Liverpool, 15:50.7) who ran a very good race.

 

Boys Varsity ... next group coming up the finishing stretch ... in order, John Heron (FM, 4th), Owen Kimple (FM, 5th), Jake McAndrew (Oswego, 6th), Tim Hartnett (Westhill, 7th) and Chris Mason (Auburn, 8th)

 

Boys Varsity ... Scott VanderMolen (Tully, 11th, 16:26.1) and Andrew Corcoran (Westhill, 12th, 16:26.8)

 

Girls Varsity ... leaders just past the one mile mark (which was reached in 5:51) ... Kristen Taylor (FM, 8th, 19:26.3) has a slight lead on winner Elizabeth McMahon (West Genesee, 18:46.9) ... following are Leah Andrianos (ESM, 3rd, 19:06.4) and Mackenzie Carter (FM, 2nd, 18:57)

 

Girls Varsity ... rounding the final turn and coming to the finish ... winner Elizabeth McMahon (West Genesee, 18:46.9) followed byMackenzie Carter (FM, 2nd, 18:57) and Leah Andrianos (ESM, 3rd, 19:06.4) Girls Varsity ... 4th-place Alicia Finger (CNS, 19:16.7)

 

Girls Varsity ... next group to finish ... Kelly Coyne (Tully, 5th, 19:25.4, far right) closed from behind to get 5th ... Kelly is passing Kristen Taylor (FM, 8th, 19:26.3) who was also passed right at finish by Katie Duerr (CNS, 7th, 19:25.9, far left) and Heather Wilson (Homer, 6th, 19:25.7, hidden in photo behind Taylor)
