Emily Fung set a new school
record in the 3000 Meter Run with a time of 10:25.6. Brittania O’Keefe (8th
grade), Emily Fung (8th grade), Chelsea Morehouse
(9th grade) recently transferred from Argyle to Greenwich
along with Ashley Fung (8th grade, Emily's sister),
Samantha Valentine (8th grade) and sisters Klara
(10th grade) and Sophie Varosy (8th grade) ... all ran
for the highly-rated (State Class D Champion) Argyle Cross
Country team in 2003. Chelsea Borbolla (9th
grade) ran for the Greenwich XC team in 2003, and performed very
well in qualifying for the State Championships (in Class C) ...
This very talented group of runners will likely be the
pre-season favorites to win the State Class C Championships in
XC in the fall of 2004 (but defending champion Skaneateles may
still be very good). In a five-team dual meet on April
				20, Emily Fung (5:02.1), Klara Varosy (5:14.9)
and Brittania O’Keefe (5:15.2) ran 1-2-3 in the 1500 meters
... Chelsea Borbolla won the 400m dash (61.9). In a dual meet with Columbia and
Guilderland on April 20, Caitlin Lane (Argyle-to-Saratoga
				transfer) won the 1500m (4:43.9) and the 3000m (10:21.5)   |
